A touch of white
I heard a Nutcracker, but it was too high in the trees for me to get any shots. Meanwhile, this Jackdaw was the only other corvid around. As the Nutcrackers really get cracking, there will be scores of other corvids gleaning leftovers, or even outright stealing cones and seeds, from the Nutcrackers. The Jackdaw had managed to pry loose a seed or two from a cone some Nutcracker hadn't totally emptied. Here he's just swallowed his prize. I don't know if those white tufts on his wing are leucism or old-age grey.
