Canon RF 600MM & 800MM with R3 Combo anyone else..? (1 Viewer)

I see a few people with lots of high end gear, although the gear outnumbers those people who actually know how to use that gear.
One is not required by law to use the gear as all it takes is the funds to purchase it and if you purchase it, you can do what ever you well like with it... F48C6777-4DCF-47C1-957E-FE9118AE1FAA.jpeg

What ever makes one happy is all that matters however I am never happy as I am always in need of one more camera and lens to add to the fleet...:)
That seems a situation tailor made for creating a camera and lens museum.
You like to acquire them, you have the means to do so and you like to show them. Admittedly, it then becomes a demanding hobby, documenting the gear and maybe getting more product detail from the manufacturers, but I would think it would have real value, not just to the birding and photography communities, but also to academia.

What about lens happiness?

Keeping them as an exhibition tool is no so different of keeping a tiger in a cage for public exhibition :(
Those lens needs to feel moisture, cold, warm, dust, see how light is reflected from a displaying BOP, or a piece of ice from the shores of Greenland, or a sunny day in late august in Sicily....
