lanzarote fish horrible photo (1 Viewer)

Thank you. I just googled saupe lanzarote and the first hit is the submarine tour I took the photos from so it seems likely
 
It does superficially look like a saupe (saupe is actually the French name, Sarpa salpa in Latin) but I think shape is a little off and it's more likely Kyphosus sectatrix for me.

As a side note, I ate Sarpa salpa quite a few times when I started spearfishing in Corsica about over ten years ago (!) and never experienced hallucinations of any kind although this in an information I read a bit everywhere. I've heard that the hallucinations are caused by the algae fermenting in the stomach of the fish so maybe I escaped these because I gutted them quickly after catching them...
Anyways, definetly not the best tasting fish in the Mediterranean so I quickly gave up catching them 😅
