The night after, I’d “jammed in” on the Angel Shark at the floodlit marina in the bay (subsequently found that it is a nursery ground for the species), I returned with my “proper camera”, hoping it might reappear.
Clearly it wasn’t going to happen, however whilst waiting c20 mins or so, in the floodlight and black shadows of the boulder rocks amongst the slimline and bigger fish slowly cruising around.
There was an all of a sudden “jack in the box” up, then down, from the black deep, in just seconds, a “pillar box red” fish…kinda rotund circa 5-6” it repeated this signature movement perhaps 4 times in 20 mins!…don’t have a scooby, obviously taking prey items from the surface 😮
Hoping it might mean something to a snorkeler?
Cheers
