Has anyone been to this site of late?
I was there a month ago and it has been allowed to deteriorate into a dreadful state.
All the feeders have gone, there is a big hole in the ground all around the hide is overgrown.
I did contact the local BCTV who look after the site they claim that the people that used to put the food up here have moved - so I offered to take over this task - To Date no further contact on this.
They also say the hole is to provide a pond but doesn't look like it will be done for Christmas.
This is a great shame, this was for the last few years a real hidden gem of a feeding site, good position, nice regular feeding birds plus a guaranteed site to get Marsh Tits on your list.
Think it is really bad that the BCTV didn't take up my offer to keep the feeders regularly stocked. Though I don' live that close my job takes me along the coast road most days so I used to regularly be able to stop off there.:C
