    Breeding plumage double-crested Cormie. I took this picture at a local park/pond while I was looking for perching birds. This pond does have fish, but...well I dunno...it's a duck/goose pond, and small. I think this guy got lost on the way to the river.

    here is a double-crested cormorant in breeding plumage. i am used to seeing the white plumes of the western birds. this black-plumed individual is supposed to occur in the eastern states. i wonder why its here in san diego.

    I really like this bird's eye. He was perched with one of his friends on the railing and they both allowed people to come right up to them.
