    On my way back to San Francisco airport, I made a stop at Spring Lake Park in Santa Rosa where we have a memorial table for my parents. It's usually a good place to bird as well, but that day the only shots I got were of this Double-crested Cormorant taking a bath.

    Here is a short video showing a Double-crested Cormorant (Nannopterum auritum) attempting to swallow what appears to be an oversized American Gizzard Shad (Dorosoma cepedianum). The fish species is uncertain and I would appreciate if anybody can confirm its identification.
