Identification
White bill and ocular area, orange-yellow head, neck and shoulders, green above, olive yellow chest, green breast and belly. Becoming endangered.
Distribution
Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, and local and rare in Ecuador.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
This species is sometimes placed in genus Pionopsitta.
Habitat
Moist lowland forests and montanes.
