Hi Dave,it all looks ok,I think maybe lacking a bit of light may be letting the shot down, ? I have attached a shot, this is at about 16 feet, I also use a 7d mk11, with a 600m lens, this shot was @f4.5 iso 1250, w/b auto,metering in partial,maybe this might give you a comparison,?? also shot in very dull light
