Not sure it's a great idea publicising the site of rare breeding birds!

I do apreciate your concerns but having seen the news with directions released on the pagers I thought that showing the site would not identify the exact location of the bird.
I was suprised that paging services circulated the news in the first place.

If you still consider my post as giving too much information I am happy to and have removed the site details.

After dipping this bird twice an early start with Pete Alfrey, Grant Prater and a few other guests paid dividends... Second Beddington tick in two days. A valuable Surrey tick taking me closer to the 200 mark. Phew!

A text from John Allan got me out and on the road after another late finish at work. The bird was diving regularly mid water and took me a while to find.

My Hooded Crow was not accepted by the records committee ( A Hybrid was seen in Peckham around the time of my sighting). Therefore Surrey VC total remains 193.

A first for the Farm on Bird race day seen by Pete Alfrey from the Obs window a few frantic moments later the news reached the hide and bingo the bird was seen flying towards Croydon. Pictures can be found on the links from Beddington Farmlands website.
