Patching Hurstpierpoint (4 Viewers)

Yet another Door to Door walk, this lockdown saving me quite a bit in petrol money and helping the environment perhaps? Grey Wagtail, Couple of Kestrels and big flock of Fieldfares our reward for 3.6 miles traipsing along the muddy paths through the village.

Windy old walk from the door again today, nice charm of Goldfinch, Green and Great Spotted Woodpeckers and a big but frustratingly distant Gull Flock which I couldn't pick anything unusual out at the distance involved!! Short report and a few pics on the blog on the link.

More local walk goodies, Think I would be depressed if it weren't for the Yellowhammers and the Skylarks hopefully some migrants will make their way through next couple of weeks

Story of today's walk and pics on the blog at the link below.

Short Raptor Watch today mostly Buzzards seen but a Red Kite added interest and a Kestrel on a wire and a possible very, very, very distant large raptor an IOW WTE possibly they have been wandering around Sussex recently! Not so many pictures on the blog today as shoulder a bit sore from Covid jab so left the big lens at home!

Well after yesterday's Birdfest which rated it's own post in "your Birding day" Forum it was back to reality today a few Wagatails and the first Swallow of the year the highlights, more on the blog where there is also Cake!!

Back local today, nice wander to the northeast of the village, singing Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs, posy Buzzard and Sprawk among the highlights, full story and pics on the blog at the link
