Last Sunday, we heard a Oregon Junco flying up at our windows , hitting it with his feet and wings. He'd go from window-to-window, flapping his wings and bumping it. He went all around the house doing this. Then he went next door to my neighbor's house and starting doing it there for an hour or so. Soon he came back to us. He started this behavior around noon and continued until dusk. Then he came back the next day and did it all over again. He added the behavior of sitting on the deck furniture by the windows calling. So, now it's Tuesday and he's back again. And he's still circling the house and bumping at the windows. We left the house today for several hours and he's still here.
Why the heck is he doing this? Any thoughts? All insights are welcome!
