Found a dead Scarlet Tiger moth on a leaf in my back garden on 16th July 2013. This is most likely the individual that I had seen flitting around there 2 days previous

Thanks Jason. Yes, you tend to approach with a mix of excitement and trepidation. One has to be a bit cautious as these camera can be tripped by the most innocuous items; blades of grass blowing in the wind, rain drops, neighbours' cats and brother's dogs etc!
I wish I could post the actual clips on the forum as they've instigated some fascinating discussions on FaceBook.

Four Butterflies

I managed to photograph four butterflies this afternoon, three actually in my garden and one just outside the gate. I don't really know my butterflies but I think these are:
Gatekeeper
Peacock
Ringlet (outside gate)
Small White

Rescued from my greenhouse, is it a Chiffchaff or a Willow?

I found this little bird in my greenhouse this morning and I eventually persuaded it to fly out. I would welcome any advice on whether it is a Chiffchaff or a Willow ?
