Driving in Bali (1 Viewer)

I have been on the AA website which implies I should have no difficulty with an international driving permit but the tour operator thinks that I would need to have this approved in Jakarta (where I will not be going).

Can someone with experience of this let me know the situation and whether I will be able to rent a car in Bali?

I think that you will not have any problem as long as you have international driving license and you didn't do something wrong. However you need to be careful as many policeman in Bali would take your money if you do something wrong, believe me, i have heard many things about them in other international forum.

I have a permit, I will decide when I arrive whether it's worth trying!
