Aythya Hybrid? (1 Viewer)

Very Lesser Scaup esqe but not quite the full ticket, anyone like to hazard a guess as to its parentage? Lesser Scaup x Greater Scaup?

How fine are the vermiculations? Finer than in Greater scaup?

head shape and bill shape on some pictures reminds me of some tufted x pochard, but there is a little too less black on the bill.

I am not sure if there are any pictures of proven hybrid Lesser x Greater scaup , but I think that would be the most difficult Aythya hybrid.
