    Strange color

    Hi, I took this photo aprox 4 weeks ago at Castro Marim /Algarve, Portugal. There was a group of 7 Cattle Egrets, all showing the same greenish coloration which I have never seen before. Has this been observed somewhere else ? What could be the reason? Thanks and best wishes Volker

    Request for ID help

    Attached a photo that I took in Ethiopia, Langano area/Rift Valley. I first thought it could be a Lesser Honeyguide but the brown color of the back is irritating me. Is it a juv.? Or could it be a Wahlberg's Honeybird? Or is the bill too broad and too pale? Thanks for your help. Volker

    Hybrid?

    Would be great if someone could help me with the ID of this Duck. Photo was taken in SW Germany on a lake. There were two ducks that looked like the one of the photo attached. They were in a group with Tufted Ducks. Might it be a hybrid of Tufted Duck and Shelduck? Thanks! Volker

    missing sharpness and brightness when posting photos

    When posting photos at the forum' gallery the quality is drastically reduced - missing sharpness and brightness. Normaly I reduce the photos to aprox 1000x600 with 300 dpi. Would appreciate if someone could tell me what I might be doing wrong? Thanks Volker
