Which binocular(s) did you use today?

Today I purchased a pair of Swarovski NL Pure 8x32 and what a joy to use, I already have the NL 8x42 and 12x42 but I was finding them a little on the heavy side, I do tend to use a tripod on the 12’s which I find lovely to look through, but today was all about the 8x32 and the weight saving was...

    Female Mallard

So today I witnessed 2 female mallards clearly trying to get rid of the males that had latched on to them, but the way in which one tried to escape really impressed me. The female and male were in the middle of the river when a second male came crashing in, while the male who thought he had laid...

Do you own a CL Curio 7x21? Must have accessories

Update from myself getting the wrong size lens covers, I can confirm the (31086) fits perfectly, so much so I have just ordered another pair as they fit the ocular lens perfectly too. Unfortunately I am now finding my focus wheel is going tight every 180deg 🙄

How many people here have had problems with their Curio focus?

I have had mine for only about 6 months and they have had very little use but I am finding the focus wheel goes stiff every 180deg then easy then stiff, I have never liked the focus knob, I find the hard plastic difficult to grip I wish it had large rubber knurls to grip. Also I have just...

Do you own a CL Curio 7x21? Must have accessories

Hi Thanks for the reply, yes looking into it there are several item codes, unfortunately the original link is for a model which is slightly too large, I have contacted them to see if I can send them back, interestingly there is another post where item code 31086 is used Putting item code 31085...

Do you own a CL Curio 7x21? Must have accessories

Does any one have any photos of these lens covers in place ? I don’t know if it’s me but they don’t fit very well in my opinion, the outer ring is too large for the barrel and the caps don’t stay in place

Poll - Trying to get some numbers on Swarovski rubber armour issues.

Thanks for the reply’s my initial idea is to use some scapa cloth tape to cure the stickiness. I wanted them to be a little worse before I send them in for repair, I fear that may happen quickly after my upcoming trip to Sri Lanka 🙂

Poll - Trying to get some numbers on Swarovski rubber armour issues.

Hi, I don’t want to hijack this thread but has anyone had a solution to stop the slight tackiness the armour goes after a few years? Ie chalk dust possibly? My EL8x32FP are just starting to get tacky but no wear on the armour as of yet, when they get bad I will send them in for repair, I have a...

Safe and effective cleaning fluids for greasy smudges on glass surfaces

I have brought your book to read when on holiday in Sri Lanka in October. I have had to resist the temptation to sneek in a few chapters before hand 🔭🙂

Swarovski Repair time at the moment?

Ouch ! I have not herd of this focus problem before with the NL one to keep an eye on. It’s a shame Swaro can’t fix this armour problem it’s not a good look for them

    Swarovski eye candy...

Thanks, and very wise words, I guess the head rest is a bit marmite, I used to use wear a cap and use that to stabilise my binoculars but I find the headrest works well for me. I guess I am missing a 10x and I have considered a El 10x32 if one comes up at a good price. I tend to use the NL12 on...

That’s a good point thanks, I need to hear that otherwise I get obsessed with buying another pair 🤦‍♂️

    Swarovski eye candy...

That’s an 8x42 probably the most used pair, I do find the head rest very good even on 8’s but there are times when I prefer the lighter EL 8x32 so if I were to change anything from the line up I would like to change the EL’s for NL 8x32 as the focus is silky smooth, slightly larger fov and the...

15x56 in stead of spotting scope?

For me since getting the NL 12x42 I don’t really use my scope tbh, I mainly use the 12’s on a tripod and I love the view it gives me, I did suffer a bit with eye fatigue using a scope

    New Product for Birdfair 2023

I was a little disappointed that there was not a big reveal, only thing I noticed was there sister brand had 4 thermal scopes on display 2 of which didn’t work and the one I tried did had a very poor image compared to Zeiss and Pulsar 🙄
