Spotted Sandpiper (Actitis macularia) Adult breeding plumage. Photographed in Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio in Quepos, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Tidal inlet in a mangrove swamp adjacent to a lowland rainforest. Sea level. Sexes similar.

An amazing shot Stanley, the detailed plumage of the Sandpiper really stands out against this lovely dark background. A beautiful composition.
 
very beautiful with marvelous lighting, i really need a flash in here in Manila its always cloudy and birds are mostly under the shade of the trees, until now i got no good shot of any bird.
