African gem
Shot in Kruger park, ZAF.
We stopped for breakfast near a small patch of forest, I saw this beautiful blue-eared starling. It kept moving, the branches in the wind were fooling the AF, I only got one sharp shot. I chose speed over ISO to freeze bird and branches, knowing the K-5 would handle iso 3200 in raw.
Great blue/green glossiness on this bird.

so many colorful birds (rollers, bee-eaters..) but most of the time the ranger wouldn't stop....
he was on "big five" mode...
