Genus: Poicephalus
Description
Small to medium-sized African parrots. They are compact with relatively big heads and large bills; the plumage on the head is often of a distinctly different colour than that of the body. Habitat ranges from semi-desert (Rueppell's Parrot in Namibia and Angola and Red-bellied Parrot in eastern Africa) to rainforest (Red-bellied Parrot).
