Oenanthe finschii barnesi (Oates, 1890)OD Birds v.2 (1st ed.) (1890) - The fauna of British India, including Ceylon and Burma - Biodiversity Heritage Library
No direct dedication. Sometimes e.g. refered to v. 9 (1880) - Stray feathers - Biodiversity Heritage Library
Björn recently reported that Mearns & Mearns 2022 have him as:
Obituary ser.7:v.2=no.5-8 (1896) - Ibis - Biodiversity Heritage Library
So it might be that he was b. 11 Jun 1848 in Oxford to James Barnes and Emily Frances
I am wondering now why the BOW key was changed to 1895 as at least I was not able to identify when he died 1895 or 1896?
