Excellent itinerary you will not be disappointed. Samburu is a brilliant place we had superb views of Somali Ostrich, Secretary Bird & Bateleur on the drive up to the lodge where they had a 'spotlit' leopard feeding station ( scope required) and Genets in the roof of the dining area. Pay attention to the Gerenuks as this will probably be the only site you will see them. My trip was in 2000 so can't really give up to date info but based on my experience you will have memories that will remain forever.:t:

Many thanks chaps. The trip is organised by Ben's Ecological Safaris. Just have to wait for the price which I hope we can cope with.

Hi Jeanie

this is Mike Davidson , normally in Nairobi , but in UK until this Saturday .
You are in good hands with Ben Mugambi an expert guide for Kenya .
The itinerary looks very good ,you should see an excellent number of kenya's beautiful birds .
A couple of points
Ben has not planned in a day in the Nairobi National Park , which is well worth a visit .
The other point is that we have excessive rains and the lakes in the rift valley are very flooded . Worth asking Ben about these . Some lodges are totally out of action especially at Baringo .
When are you travelling by the way ?
Mike D

Many thanks Mike. Certainly can't afford 3 weeks and may have to share with others to make the price more affordable. Planning for Aug. 2014.
