Cillana 2021 List - southeast Texas (1 Viewer)

I haven't done a year list in a while. At the beginning of this year I thought "Sure, why not?" I'm not restricting the list to sightings in southeast Texas. I just don't plan to go anywhere else this year. I live in Tyler County, TX. Our property is lakefront so I get a lot of water loving birds. The lake is very shallow in places with lots of islands. It's great for canoeing. Watson Rare Native Plant Preserve is near my house and on the same lake. I'm going to use "Watson" for short here. I also sometimes pull over on the side of the road on the earthen part of the lake dam to look for birds. I don't stop on the bridge over the spillway of course.

**This was only the 2nd time I've seen a Chestnut-sided Warbler. My lifer was April 28, 2016, almost exactly 5 years earlier.

Had just a few more in 2021. Didn't get photos of any of these.

81. Cooper's Hawk - my yard - September 8th
82. Osprey -
Cleveland, TX - September 21st
83. Golden-crowned Kinglet -
my yard - October 31st

Strangely I didn't see a catbird in 2021. I saw them quite frequently in my yard in 2019 and 2020.
