  1. Fading light

    Fading light

During that period (about 2 months) there were very few ducks used the water at the front of the hide. In fact there were very few ducks visible at all!! As the light began to fail Mrs M decided to risk it. It was so still though, I rather liked the wake and reflections in this picture. EDIT...
  2. Keeping in line

    Keeping in line

There weren't many species visible that mid-August day, but this group of Mallards swam past in front of the hide (not that close though unfortunately). It was, as usual, "you should have been here half an hour ago!"
  3. Unsynchronised

    Unsynchronised

I spent a while trying to get a picture with both heads up... it did work in the next shot, but I prefer the effect of the light on the water in this one. An early July visit to Kinnordy.

It's dreadful really. A lady can't even have a bath these days without someone taking a photograph of her and splashing it all over the internet. A bathing Mallard at Strumpshaw Fen. Ron
