Late afternoon Bitten/Owl watch (no luck),this time last year a Bitten turned up the next day so good luck tomorrow.
Highlights this evening 8 Curlew, 3 snipe flew out calling, Greensand calling too. 2 little Egret flew towards sailing pool.

Just to let you all know we're going to try and fix the door catch on the concrete hide Tuesday morning, there may be some noise due to the door being made of aluminium and it might need adjusting. Read that as being smacked with a hammer!
Cracking picture Elvisboy!

Yellow Legged Gull (4 cal yr)----Cetti's Warbler (seen not heard). There has been discussion among Upton birders concerning the whereabouts of Cetti's Warbler in the last few weeks. Today's bird was seen in the small reed bed in front of and to the right of the east hide.
Gry Falcon (apparently grey morph with a radio tag). All the Moors birds were disturbed by a falcon seen over the west side independently of birders in the east hide. The falcon was seen to dive out of view.
