Tony Nunnery near Bellavista (1 Viewer)

If you are staying at Bellavista or Tandayapa, it is well worth spending a half day at Tony Nunnery's house. His house is about 2km down the road from Bellavista. The house cannot be seen from the road but look through for a path through the tall grass and you will soon come to a gate with a bell. Ring the bell to enter. I spent a very pleasant afternoon there, and enjoyed the hospitality of Tony and his wife Barbara. His garden is alive with hummingbirds and I saw 21 species there that afternoon ( a couple more were possible) including Wedge Billed Hummingbird, Gorgeted Woodstar, Empress Brilliant, Western Emerald etc. Over forty species of hummingbird have been recorded in the garden and there are plenty of other birds that can been seen with several km of trails.
