woops... i just entered in all the info, previewed the change clicked on a link and lost all my information. That was an hours work i just lost! unfortunately i dont have the time to do it again now but it was mostly based upon British Birds 95 272-278 279-299 and 334-344, shorebirds by peter hayman, john marchant and tony prater.

Sometimes... just sometimes... Forward/Back buttons may get you back to your Edit... worth a try

In the taxonomy section it reads:

Recently some authors suggest that this species is a subspecies of Whimbrel. However, this view is higly controversial.

Can I get a source on that?
