A decent little spell at Gailey(for a change) at the moment.

A cracking Ring Ouzel on the causeway yday evening was followed by another report in the sheep field next to the A5 today. As I went to check on this one after work today me and Ian Butler jammed in on an Osprey over.

They say things come in threes so I'm hoping for a Hoopoe the next few days!

It wouldn't surprise me at the moment mate - I was happy with my haul of Whimbrel, Merlin and Red Kite over Easter but it's typically got better now I'm back at work!

It's been a decent few weeks overall. With additional Gailey scarcities such as Blackwit, Redshank, Egyptian Goose, Willow Tit and a few others it's made it better than usual :t:

The good spell continued this morning with fem Common Scoter on the sailing lake.

Now time for a proper biggie :eek!:

I also had an adult Med Gull in the ploughed field at Whitemoor Haye. Not much at Blithfield apart from a Greenshank in Blithe bay, and 4 Common Terns.

On Twitter at the moment......Staffs fire crews at Hilton Park services on the M6 trying to release an 'eagle' that has become trapped in a pigeon net. Any ideas?
