I'm stuck with this plume, caught 20 September in my MV trap. Can anyone help? Three photos, same moth.

Hi Nerine
Looks like Stenoptilia bipunctidactyla, or one of a couple of other similar looking species, none of which I`m familiar with & not sure what occurs on Gurnsey either, so cant be of any further help I`m afraid.
 
Thank you, Rob. That is interesting because Stenoptilia bipunctidactyla had been suggested to me but we have only had one record of this over here which was in 2011. So I think I'll make a few more investigations ..........
