Just wanted to get some opinions on this Duck that was seen a couple of days back on the sea in St Aubins Bay in Jersey.

In the field the opinion was a possible Greater Scaup maybe juvenile moulting into first winter male plumage.

Looks more like Lesser Scaup given the grey rather than white primary bar. Whatever it is, from the state of its plumage it looks to be heavily contaminated or otherwise compromised.
