Lisvane Reservoir... any good? (1 Viewer)

Hi All

OK, maybe Lisvane is not in Gwent, but I wanted to ask folk here if there is any access at Lisvane for birding.

I have just started a new contract very close to the reservoir, and could pop down there one lunchtime or after work for a few hours if access is good.

Does anyone know the status...? Ta.

Certainly worth poping in but dont expect to much in the way of birdlife. The hedgerows around the reservoir are quite good for warblers but i dont remember much in the way of waterside vegetation which would result in a lack of breeding water species, moorhen, coot, little grebe etc.

Worth a look though.
