In two weeks time I will spend 9 days birding & mammal watching in Ethiopia and there are still 2 free seats in the car. Excluding food the total costs should be about 900 USD including transport, guides & accomodation, but excluding flight to Ethiopia. Flights are available from about 750 USD from Europe and tourist visa are available at the airport for 50 USD

The car will pick you up on Saturday 23rd early morning in Addis Abeba and come back to Addis on Sunday 31st in the late afternoon.

The itinerary features Lake Langano, Bale mountains NP (3 nights), Wondo Genet, Senkele game sanctuary, Lake Awassa, Yabello & Debre Libanos. This gives good chances for many Ethiopian endemics, including Stresemans bush crow, spot-breasted plover, Abyssinian woodpecker, Abysinnian catbird and non-endemics such as wattled crane & lesser jacana. Possible mammals include Ethiopian wolf, gelada, mountain nyala, Swaynes hartebeest & Bale mountains green monkey.

You could decide to add some time in the northern highlands or Awash NP & Aledeghe plains (good dryland birding) afterwards.
