IVNR-Recent Sightings

Chainbridge NR Scrape - LITTLE EGRET, 107 Wigeon, 5 Goldeneye, 8 Shelduck plus male 'Aythya hybrid' (Pochard x Tufted).

Chainbridge Pit - c9 Goldeneye, 269 Wigeon and 1 Goosander.

Neatholme Scrape - 16 Wigeon, 11 Goldeneye.

Neatholme Pit - c11 WHITE-FRONTED GEESE, c500 Greylag Geese, 4 Goldeneye.

Neatholme Fen - 5 Goldeneye, 292 Wigeon, 3 Shelduck and 1 Dunlin.

Bellmoor: 4 Snipe in front of visitors centre, c40 Siskin, 2 Great Spotted
Woodpecker, female Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, 3 Coal Tit, c12 Goosander,
Buzzard over.

Windsurf Pool - c9 Redshank, c25 Redpoll in adjacent tree line.

Wildgoose Farm - Buzzard, 27 Pink-footed Geese over farm

Blaco - 2 Little Owl, 5 Wigeon.

Hayton Common: 2 Short-eared Owls, 12 White-fronted Geese, 7 Whooper Swans, Snipe.

RAVEN again noted over Walters Farm flying N/westerly.

IVNR & White-winged gulls

Reports of Glaucous and Iceland gulls in the evening roosts this week.

Iceland Gull seen this evening in the Chainbridge Pit roost 4pm. today..

Also large numbers of gulls roosting on Neatholme Pit, Fen, Scrape and the Water ski Pit most evenings.

Ringtail Hen Harrier seen today around Clayworth Common.

3 Female Smew on Chainbridge Scrape today, and one on Chainbridge Pit. 32 Goosander counted, a dozen Goldeneye, Peregrine and Sparrowhawk on Clayworth Common.

Idle Valley - Recent Sightings

No reported sighting of the Long-tailed Duck since Tuesday 19th June

Neatholme Scrape - 4 Red-crested Pochard, 2 Common Tern, Redshank, 2 Dunlin

Neatholme Fen - Oystercatcher, 4 Common Tern, 2 Buzzard, 2 Turtle Dove.
Chainbridge NR Scrape - 3 Dunlin, Redshank.

Chainbridge Lane - 3 Turtle Doves.

Clayworth Common - female Marsh Harrier seen almost daily, Buzzard, Sparrowhawk, 2 Yellow Wagtail.

Conservation Lake (Chainbridge Lane) - LRP, Ringed Plover, Barn Owl, Sprarrowhawk, Kestrel.

Cross Lane Marsh - 2 Little Egret.

Tiln North - Ringed Plover.

Tiln Wood - 2 Buzzard roosting.

Local News - Daneshill NR.
Red Kite reported again over car park and adjacent sheep fields.

Marsh Harrier hunting on Clayworth Common today. 2 Red Crested Pochard on Chainbridge Scrape and another two on the Windsurf Pit.
Pair of Bullfinch and a Garden Warbler on Chainbridge Lane.

Large Starling Roost and 5 SEO tonight. My estimate for starlings was around 3000 at 4pm
