Saturday, March 26, during a birding trip I made at Comana with some fellow birders, we noticed that large reed surfaces, part of Comana Natural Park (IBA RO102), were burning. Due to the strong wind, fire spread quickly. I don't know who is responsible for that, but it's worth mentioning that `natural rehabilitation` works are currently in progress in the area. It is very strange that `natural rehabilitation` means building concrete dikes and destroying reedbeds in one of the most important wetlands in Romania after the Danube Delta. :C
