Dunlin or curlew sandpiper form Jeddah (1 Viewer)

I think the length of the tibia in particular points to Curlew Sandpiper rather than Dunlin.

But I'm not an expert, and am sure someone will come along soon and give a more authoritative verdict!

I admit I was a bit worried by the bill, and came back to edit my post several times to that effect, but decided to just say I thought the legs a bit long for Dunlin. It looks rather an odd bird. Then again it's clearly on the alert, and standing more upright than in standard field guide posture.

I get out very little now (mobility problems) and haven't actually seen either species for at least 15 years...
