Got up bright and early to go birding with 2 more experienced birders. Went to a very quiet Deeping Lakes and saw 2 returning Oystercatchers, 10 Lapwings, Greater Spotted and Green Woodpeckers and the usual duck species.

Next went to Baston Fen which was nothing special today. Saw about 300 Fieldfare feeding but apart from that 4 Teal and 2 Reed Buntings.

Finally finished the morning with Elsea Wood. Saw around 200 Redwings among the usual woodland species. Also noticed mixed flocks of Tits and Finches.
