Devil of a problem (1 Viewer)

It is sad. But I can’t work it out? Were there devils on the island originally and they died out due to the cancer, if so why did they now wipe out the birds? Were there none on the island to start with, if so why put them there?

There were none on the island originally so the penguins were safe from any mammal predation.
They put some healthy T Ds thus enabling them to avoid catching the disease, enabling them to thrive but at the expense of the penguins…..
As they used to say on the Goon Show « Someone has blundered »:(

Unf***ingbelievable.....this after the poison for the mice killing everything else. What a bunch of f***wits....but this is the country that introduced cane toad so you'd think they might have learned something - obviously not 😖😩
Stupidest thing is if you go thru customs with some fruit or a bit of wood you're fined on entry - what a pathetic joke

Unless I misread the information the disaster was actually forecast and they still went ahead? In what sort of asylum do these people actually live?

John
