Hi,
I took these pictures on the said date at the said location (just outside Tucson, AZ).

Here are my thoughts:
1. Ladder-backed Woodpecker (f)
2. (surely) Gila Woodpecker (f)
3. Brewer's Sparrow?
4. Rufous-crowned Sparrow (m)
5. Rufous-crowned Sparrow (f)

What do you think?

All of these would be new birds to me, wish me luck ;-)

Thanks,
Howard

3. Brewer's Sparrow
4. Green-tailed Towhee
5. Rufous-crowned Sparrow

I agree that #5 is a Rufous-winged Sparrow. In addition to the points noted by peterginsberg, the back pattern is much better for Rufous-winged than Rufous-crowned.
