Red-breasted merganser

It appears that the Red-breasted merganser like the Goosander in this area feed along the river and occasionally go to areas like the north pit or Dosthill lake to rest
The Red-breasted merganser has been seen twice now on the West side of Dosthill lake so it's worth keeping a lookout as it should return. The first sighting the bird was diving along the western bund.

Regards, John
