    As far as I'm aware its only limosa that breed in the UK so a record of a bird ringed as a nestling in the UK would indicate that it was a limosa, could be easily overlooked

    First visit to Upton for far too long today! Most of what we saw has been covered, LRP chick did appear to have been lost with both adults seen for an extended period of time not attending any chick. Most interesting for me was a slightly odd calling warbler along the east track at the moors...

    This bird only has a metal ring on and not a yellow darvic like what would be used in those schemes you've mentioned Phil, this bird could be from anywhere, the yellow tint to the ring is likely to be staining making it look yellow rather than the usual silver

    The bird that Kingfisher Blue (John?) has posted looks to me to be a different bird to what Sy has posted photos of, Kingfisher Blue's photo appears to show a 2cy Lesser Black-backed Gull, from Sy's photos I can't see that bird being a LBBG due to extensive pale window on its inner primaries...
