    Managed some better shots of the Firecrest yesterday after some very poor ones the day before. I was there between 12.00 and 2.00 PM and it showed very well sometimes close on occasions.It was singing very well and unless there are two of them there someone was using a tape lure. Max

    For anyone not been yet the Short Eared Owls are showing well at Dostill Lake usually along the bunds. Got there at 11.00AM yesterday and saw one straight away and then on and off for a couple of hours until a water skier came out. Max.

    Draycote Water is livening up now with the low water levels giving waders some places to stop and feed. Last Tuesday I had the Wood Sandpiper,several Dunlin,Common Sandpipers,Ringed and Little Ringed Plovers,a Wheatear and a Black Tailed Godwit.The best area was the Farborough bank spit. Well...

    The Crake was showing well again this morning from the EM hide at Brandon Marsh.It's spending more time now in the channel I think because the scrub is taller there now and it feels safer?? Max

    Managed after a long wait yesterday to get the Spotted Crake from the East Marsh hide at Brandon.It showed briefly in the channel at 2.00PM. Max.

    Managed to get a few shots of the LSW at Whitacre Heath yesterday from the main pool hide at 1.00PM. Max.

    The Red-breasted Merganser was still showing at Shustoke Res. yesterday but was hard to track down due to the sailing boats.Got a few shots but the light from the north shore was a pain. Max.
