So where in that Paper does it mention Tristis calling as Collybita/Abietinus!! Call & song are 2 different things!! & where does it mention Fulvescens as a hybrid (Try to spell it right John!!) Yet again your taking snippets from here there & everywhere & trying to make out that your the new...

Where's the link John? Yet again your posting unfounded rubbish, quotes, stats & snippets which prove nothing!! None of the birds you seem to be reporting are calling as Tristis not even mixed calling but plain old Collybita/Abietinus!!! So professor Harris over to you ;) Dave

There is no debate John!! I may be wrong in suggesting Collybita (Nominate) But the fact is these birds are calling as such so should remain as Unidentified!! Just in case you still want to spout total rubbish from books & misquotes which you seem ready to do rather than actually reading in...

John they're not giving Collybita type calls they are Collybita calls! However the 1 bird at Alrewas on the 2nd was heard to call as Tristis! Only problem being they were both together in the same bush at the time! The bird still present has only ever given a Collybita call Dave

John I suggest you re-read the posts nothing on any of the sites mentioned as Collybita!! Common Chiffchaff yes (That covers the species as a whole unless you know something we don't!!) Intelligence is also needed when spelling correctly!! ;) The 3rd bird at Ladywalk was also changed from Sibe...

For anyone scratching their heads with the ringed birds ID hopefully these photos will show it in a different light!! & Just goes to show why caution & letting people make their own minds up on birds like Tristis/Fulvescens is sometimes the best way!! Be interesting to hear some valid points on...

Whats the Belvide bird or any on BF gotta do with the Ladywalk birds John? I think you need to make your own mind up rather than questioning stuff on blogs that youv'e never seen! Your very quick to say certain people say this or that, this blog says this or that! I have my own opinions & don't...

John after this week when I & 2 others + yourself were watching the 2 birds we could all here common chiffchaff (Which was calling louder but not seen!) but was further down from the Sibes (Which were both calling) would be the easy explanation rather than the (sibe on plumage as you put it)...
