Identification

Black head with white spots, brown or fawn body, yellow legs on males; females are brown with white and black spots.

Distribution

Luzon Island, Philippines.

Taxonomy

A monotypic species. Known only from four specimens.

Habitat

High-altitude grassland, rice paddies and scrub lands near farm areas.

Behaviour

The diet includes seeds and insects.
