Identification

11.5cm. White marks on face, white throat, middle of the underparts and rump. The males have a purple tuft.

Distribution

Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests.

Behaviour

The diet includes fruit and insects.
