Identification

Distribution

South America: found in llanos of eastern Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname and western Amazonian Brazil.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland. Also observed feeding in arid scrub land.
