Scolopax rochussenii

Identification

40cm. Long dark bill, orange buff below and black barred upperparts. The plumage is marked with large buff spots.

Distribution

Known from northern Molucca Islands. Certainly found on Obi and Bacam and maybe even Halmahera.

Taxonomy

A monotypic species.
