Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.

Habitat

Coastal Mountains and Coastal Waters

Behaviour

Diet incldues larval fish, krill and other small zooplankton. Chicks are fed with slightly larger fish carried in the bill.

Nests are on bare ground. 1 egg is laid.
