Identification

29 cm

  • Yellowy-green head and underparts
  • Blackish spatules
  • Pale grey bill

Distribution

South-east Asia: endemic to northern Philippines (lowlands of Luzon and Marinduque)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Lowland primary forest canopy and forest edges.

Behaviour

Diet

They are vegetarian being particularly fond of bananas. They also eat rice, corn seed and flowers.
