Identification

20·5–21 cm (8-8¼ in)
A long white supercilium, its flight feathers and back are olive green and its throat is white. Grey lores and ear-coverts.

Distribution

South America: found in Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina

Taxonomy

There are 2 subspecies[1]:

  • South-eastern Brazil (southern São Paulo to Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul)

Habitat

Secondary forests and well wooded orchards

Behaviour

Diet

Their main diet consists of insects, supplemented by fruit and berries.
