South America: found from Central and eastern Brazil, south of the Amazon, to eastern Bolivia and Mato Grosso

This is a monotypic species[1].

Diet

There is little information available, but they are thought to eat fruit and possibly small birds too.

Breeding

The male offers food to the female as part of the 'pair-bonding' process.
